Welcome to Forde Abbey
Forde Abbey in Dorset is a treasure in an area already known for its outstanding beauty. It is a family home as well as a living and breathing working estate, and welcomes visitors all year round.
Please explore further down this page and across our website to see what you can experience on a day visit here: a family outing in beautiful Dorset, children’s trails around the gardens or house, lovely gifts in our shop, a trip to our plant nursery, tasty refreshments in our tearoom – hopefully you will find something for everyone. If you have any questions or cannot find something on the website, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call us on 01460 220231.
The snowdrops are here, in perfect time for Snowdrop Weekends throughout February, and would make excellent subjects for our Photographic Competition. Don’t miss the Events button at the top of this page to see to see what’s coming up in the year ahead, with some exciting new events and activities: posy-making workshops at the Plant & Gardening Fair, an Easter Egg Hunt with Mrs Tiggy-winkle and friends, a Tulip Festival…
Please see the Your Visit page for full details of our winter opening hours.
